Ayam Cemani is an uncommon and relatively modern breed of chicken from Indonesia. They have a dominant gene that causes hyperpigmentation (fibromelanosis), making the chicken mostly black, including feathers, beak, and internal organs.
 
In the past individual birds in the United States of America have been priced at $2500. Spendy!
 
Notice: In trying to be fully transparant with my Ayam Cemani's, I will say if you are looking for the best of the best in this particular breed, my line is not that. If you'd like to message me for contacts to those that have the best Cemanis in the country, I am happy to provide you with that information.  But keep in mind, they are exceptionally expensive. My line has only 1 fibro gene whereas people who have exceptional cemanis have 2 fibro genes. So with that, please make an educated decision if this line is the line of cemanis you want.
